AASHA BHAROSA PARTY (ABP) is a newly constituted party and filed for registration with the Election Commission of India (ECI). ECI has already cleared the name of the party and notification in the newspapers has been made. The mandatory period of inviting objection has also been over. Now ECI has sought some clarification before issuance of registration certificate which is being expedited. The party has also applied for a common symbol for participation in the ensuing General Election 2024.

The party has been formed with the following core paradigm: 1. Development of Youth and new leadership – present leadership is inadequate and elitist; 2. Experience the power of Samarthan for Paribartan towards Samadhan – reverse the present culture of 10% selected people ruling over other 90%; 3. Know the Constitution; 4. Understand the duty and change for  majority rule; 5. Realise the power of Voting; 6. Power of co-operation and contribution – a minimum contribution from the citizen will eradicate corrupt practices prevailing in the election process establishing perpetually corruption in the society; 7. Add Jai Sambidhan, Jai Bidwan & Jai Shramdan after Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan, Jai Vigyan & Jai Anusandhan; 8. Solve problems of food, education, health, housing and clothing; 9. Know the position and possibility to bring betterment in life; 10. Awake, Act & Alter; 11. Explore the possibility to form Govt. which is possible in Odisha as per the Constitutional provision i.e. with the 57 reserved seats for Scheduled Tribes (STs) and Scheduled Castes (SCs) and support of Other Backward Classes (OBCs) & Economically Weaker Section (EWS) voters. No need to follow and remain subservient to the leaders who do not belong to these classes and 12. Impart political training & realise empowerment.

The party will be contesting election in the State of Odisha. It may be mentioned that the party has been floated by the citizens belonging to Scheduled Tribe (ST) which will be broadbased with the inclusion of citizens mainly from the similar background and aspirations. This unique endeavor has been taken to promote tenets of democracy for the people and by the people and with the purpose of ensuring actual representation of the Scheduled Tribes and such other similar classes in the election process unlike the traditional way to become candidates from various parties. The idea is to make true representation of the STs/SCs/OBCs/EWS for their own welfare and their issues should be discussed as per the provisions of the Constitution in letter and spirit.
